Luxury bathroom trailers built like a real building, not a plastic box

Every portable bathroom trailer in our Los Angeles rotation works like a small, clean building that shows up on a truck and leaves without a trace. Guests climb a few steps with rails, open a locking door and find a flushing toilet, a sink with running water, a mirror, soft lighting and air that is cool in August and warm in January. We stock paper, soap and towels before the unit leaves our yard.

  • Flushing china toilets with foot pedal flush
  • Stainless or granite vanities with running water and soap
  • Air conditioning and heat in every unit
  • Onboard fresh water and waste tanks, so no sewer hookup
  • Interior and exterior lights for night events
  • Plugs into a standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit, or we bring a generator

Where our portable bathroom trailers go in the City of Los Angeles

The City of Los Angeles covers about 469 square miles, and we deliver to every part of it, plus the rest of Los Angeles County and Southern California. Our drivers know the tight hillside streets above Silver Lake, the loading docks of the Fashion District and the long gravel lots of the northeast Valley. See all of bathroom trailer rentals in our Southern California service areas, or call and we will tell you how fast we can reach your address.

Downtown, Bunker Hill and the Civic Center

Downtown work is all about timing and tight space. We set luxury bathroom trailers on parking lots in South Park near the Convention Center, on private lots along Grand Avenue, in the Arts District warehouse lots east of Alameda Street and behind event spaces in Little Tokyo and the Fashion District. Many Downtown streets have loading limits during the day, so we often deliver early or late and park the trailer flush against a wall to keep the sidewalk clear.

Hollywood, Los Feliz and the Griffith Park edge

Hollywood brings premieres, rooftop parties, studio lots and short film shoots on side streets off Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards. Up the hill, the Greek Theatre and the Griffith Park picnic areas host concerts, races and family reunions, and Los Feliz homes host weddings in backyards with narrow driveways. For those streets we usually send a 2-station or 3-station unit that turns in tight spaces.

Silver Lake, Echo Park, Boyle Heights and the Eastside

Echo Park Lake, Elysian Park and the streets around Dodger Stadium see festivals, car shows, block parties and the start of the LA Marathon each March. Further east, Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, El Sereno and Highland Park have church festivals, quinceaneras and mid-size remodels that need a clean bathroom for weeks. Hillside lots in Mount Washington can be steep, so send us a photo and we will confirm the spot before delivery.

The Westside, from Westwood and Century City to Playa Vista

On the Westside we place temporary bathroom trailers for office tower renovations in Century City, campus events near UCLA in Westwood, estate weddings in Brentwood and Bel Air, and big builds in Playa Vista and Westchester near LAX, where the Automated People Mover and the airport road work have kept contractors busy for years. Westside lots fill fast, so we confirm parking and access with the property manager before the truck leaves.

The San Fernando Valley, from Studio City to Sylmar

The Valley half of the city is wide and hot. We deliver to Studio City and North Hollywood production companies, Encino and Woodland Hills backyard parties, Northridge and Granada Hills school events, Chatsworth industrial parks, and the open picnic areas at Hansen Dam and the Sepulveda Basin. Summer days there often run 10 or more degrees hotter than the coast, which is why every unit has its own AC.

South LA, Watts and the Harbor

South LA has church events, park festivals, school events and long public works jobs from Vermont Square to Watts. Down at the Harbor, Wilmington and Harbor City see port jobs and the Port of Los Angeles waterfront work, including the Avalon pedestrian bridge project that broke ground in Wilmington in 2026. Port and industrial sites usually ask for gate badges or escort times, and our drivers plan around them.

Permits and placement for temporary bathroom trailers in Los Angeles

Most private parties on private land need no permit for a bathroom trailer, although public events, street closures and food events do. Here is how the main city and county rules touch your sanitation plan, so you can file early and avoid a scramble the week of the event.

Los Angeles City Hall lit up at night in the Civic Center, The Lavatory Los Angeles

LA County Public Health and community events

If your event sells or serves food to the public, the organizer files with the county. The LA County Public Health community event requirements say to apply at least 30 days before the event, and they require adequate public toilets, one handwashing sink for every four toilets, and one toilet for every 15 food employees within 200 feet of each food booth, truck or cart. For multi-day events, restrooms should be serviced at the end of each day. Our trailers have sinks with running water built in, which makes the handwashing count simple, and we can schedule nightly pumping and restocking for festivals that run all weekend.

LADBS temporary special event permits

Big tents, stages over 30 inches, grandstands and structures over 12 feet at an event in the city call for a temporary special event permit from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, which covers events of up to seven days and includes an on-site inspection. A bathroom trailer itself is not a structure under that permit, although the inspector will look at exits, fire lanes and where every piece of equipment sits. We mark our trailer spot on your site plan so the layout you file matches what shows up.

Street closures, sidewalks and curb placement

Block parties, runs and street fairs on public roads go through the StreetsLA One-Stop Special Events Permit Office, which asks for about 45 days of lead time. If your permit allows equipment in the closed street, we can place a trailer in the lane. Without one, we keep the unit on private property, in a driveway or in a lot, and never block a sidewalk, a hydrant or a fire lane.

Power, water and level ground

Each trailer carries its own fresh water and waste tanks, so the only hookup we need is power. The smaller units run on one standard 20 amp, 120 volt circuit and the larger ones on two, within about 100 feet of the trailer. No outlet nearby? We bring a quiet generator. Our drivers level the trailer on asphalt, gravel, grass or a sloped driveway, and they lay ramps or mats where guests will walk.

Venues, stadiums and big projects where we set up deluxe bathroom trailers

Los Angeles has some of the busiest event and building calendars in the country, and a clean bathroom is one of the first things a planner or a superintendent has to solve. These are the kinds of places where our units sit most weeks.

Walt Disney Concert Hall on Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles seen from above, The Lavatory Los Angeles

Downtown arenas, concert halls and the Convention Center

The Los Angeles Convention Center is in the middle of a phased expansion approved by the City Council, with work planned to pause in 2028 while the hall hosts Olympic fencing, taekwondo, wrestling and table tennis, according to the Council District 9 office. Expansions like that mean contractor trailers, staging yards and long jobs right next to live trade shows. Nearby, Crypto.com Arena and the Peacock Theater will host Olympic gymnastics, boxing and weightlifting, and Dodger Stadium will host baseball. We place mobile bathroom trailers for tailgates, watch parties, vendor villages and the work zones that grow around events like these.

Up on Bunker Hill, the open spaces around Walt Disney Concert Hall and Grand Park take private receptions and civic events, and Los Angeles State Historic Park at the edge of Chinatown hosts multi-day music festivals that need rows of units with attendants. For the biggest crowds we line up several 9-station bathroom trailers for large Los Angeles festivals, and we pair them with an ADA unit at the end of each row.

Housing, office and public works construction

Cranes are everywhere in the city right now, from apartment buildings in Koreatown to transit and airport work in Westchester and new parks along the Wilmington waterfront. California’s Cal/OSHA jobsite toilet rule requires at least one toilet facility for every 20 employees of each sex on a construction site. A clean, heated trailer with sinks beats a row of plastic boxes on any job that runs for months, and superintendents tell us it helps them keep good workers. Long-term rentals get scheduled pumping, cleaning and restocking.

Churches, schools and community events

Parish festivals in Boyle Heights, school carnivals in the Valley, park concerts in South LA and neighborhood council fairs across the city all need restrooms that the whole family can use. Volunteers like that the trailers come stocked and ready, and that we can service them between the Saturday and Sunday sessions. For school events we also set the trailer where staff can see the doors, and we add an ADA unit when the crowd includes grandparents and guests with strollers or wheelchairs.

Indoor events, warehouses and offices with no working bathrooms

A trailer can roll right into a building with enough clearance, such as a warehouse or an empty store. We have set units on the concrete floor of empty halls for pop-up shops, awards dinners and holiday parties, and outside office towers whose plumbing failed on a Monday morning. Building managers in the Financial District and Century City call us when a water main break or a sewer repair shuts the restrooms on several floors at once.

Film permits and production days with mobile bathroom trailers

Los Angeles is the home of the film and TV business, and production days here move fast. The city requires a film permit, handled by FilmLA, for any commercial shoot on public or private property, and FilmLA asks for at least three full business days to process it. Base camp and crew parking locations get listed on that application, so tell us where base camp will be and we will drop the unit there before call time.

Location managers book our 2-station and 3-station units for single-day shoots on residential streets, and larger units for base camps in studio lots, parks and the big lots in Sun Valley and Chatsworth. Period homes in Angelino Heights and West Adams get a lot of filming, and a quiet, clean trailer parked on a side lawn keeps cast and crew out of the owner’s house. We can deliver before dawn and pick up after wrap.

Long-term portable bathroom trailer rentals for offices, schools and job sites

A big part of our Los Angeles calendar is not events at all. It is months-long work, like a remodel that tears out a building’s restrooms or a new apartment block going up from the ground. For those jobs we set a weekly or twice-weekly service visit, and our team pumps the waste tank, refills the fresh water, wipes down every surface and restocks paper, soap and towels.

  • Office and retail remodels: a 5-station or 8-station private unit in the loading dock or the back lot while the restrooms inside are gutted
  • School and campus work: ADA units and larger trailers placed away from student paths, set before the first bell and serviced after the last
  • Construction and public works: clean, heated trailers sized to the jobsite headcount and moved as the work moves
  • Plants and warehouses: extra units during shutdowns, turnarounds and peak shipping weeks, when the headcount doubles

Long rentals also get a single point of contact, flexible swap-outs if your headcount changes, and quick moves when the job site layout shifts. If the job is in the Valley or near the port, ask us about placing a ADA trailers on Los Angeles job sites so the trailer serves workers who use wheelchairs as well.

Which bathroom trailer size fits your Los Angeles job

Every size below is in our local fleet. Head count, event length and whether people are drinking all change the math, so use this as a starting point and call us for an exact count. You can also browse the full lineup of luxury bathroom trailer rentals across Los Angeles County.

2-station: backyards, small shoots and tight streets

One women’s room and one men’s room, for about 150 guests and under. It draws power from one 20 amp, 120 volt circuit and fits most driveways in the hills.

3-station: weddings and short builds

Two women’s rooms and one men’s room, for about 225 guests and under. A good pick for weddings in Los Feliz backyards and for mid-size remodels.

5-station: parties, school events and longer days

Three women’s stalls with two sinks, plus a men’s side with a stall, a urinal and a sink, for 150 to 450 guests. It carries 200 gallons of fresh water and a 520 gallon waste tank.

8-station private: premieres, galas and offices

Eight unisex private rooms, each with its own toilet, urinal and sink, for 400 to 600 guests. Two AC units with smart touch thermostats keep it comfortable, and its 1,000 gallon waste tank carries a long day.

9-station: festivals, stadium lots and big crowds

Five women’s stalls with two sinks, plus a men’s side with two stalls, two urinals and a sink, for 400 to 900 guests over a five-hour event. It needs two 20 amp circuits.

ADA plus 2 and ADA plus 6: accessible rooms with ramps

The ADA plus 2 bathroom trailer for LA venues adds a unisex accessible room with a self-contained ramp to one women’s and one men’s room, for events up to 200 guests or job sites up to 30 people. The ADA plus 6 has seven rooms in all, four men’s, two women’s and one unisex ADA room, for up to 300 guests, with a ramp built to federal and California standards.

How many luxury bathroom trailers a Los Angeles event needs

The guest ranges on each size assume a typical four to five hour event. Longer events, open bars and hot days all push the count up, so plan a little extra rather than a little short. These are setups we deliver often in the city:

  • Backyard party or small wedding, up to 150 guests: one 2-station unit, or a 3-station if most guests are women
  • Wedding or school event, 200 to 400 guests: one 5-station unit, plus an ADA plus 2 if any guests use wheelchairs
  • Gala, premiere or corporate party, 400 to 600 guests: one 8-station private unit, which keeps lines short because every room is unisex
  • Festival or stadium lot, 1,000 guests or more: two or more 9-station units side by side, with an ADA unit at each end of the row
  • Job site with 30 workers: an ADA plus 2 or a 3-station unit serviced weekly

For public events, the county also counts handwashing sinks and food worker toilets, so your vendor list matters as much as your guest list. Call (818) 593-0069 with both numbers and we will build the plan and send a quote you can hand straight to your permit office.

Seasons, heat and fire weather for portable bathroom trailers in LA

Los Angeles weather looks easy until you plan an outdoor event. May and June bring a cool marine layer near the coast, while the Valley can sit near 100 degrees in July and September. Winter storms are short but heavy, and they turn grass lots to mud in an afternoon. Every unit has AC and heat, and we set trailers on firm ground or plywood when rain is in the forecast.

Fire season is the big one. Santa Ana winds usually blow from about September through March, and when winds reach 25 miles per hour with humidity at or below 15 percent, the Los Angeles Fire Department calls a Red Flag Alert. During an alert, posted streets in the city’s Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones become no-parking zones, and cars left there get towed. If your event or job is in the hills above Hollywood, the Santa Monica Mountains or the northeast Valley, we keep our trailers off the street and on private property so evacuation routes stay open.

When fires, storms or power shutoffs hit, we deliver emergency bathroom trailer rentals in Los Angeles to shelters, evacuation points and businesses that lost water, often within hours of the first call.

How renting a private bathroom trailer works in Los Angeles

  1. Call or request a quote. Tell us the date, the address, how many people and how long. We confirm the size, the power and the access the same day.
  2. We plan the spot. Send a photo or a site plan, and we check gates, slopes, overhead wires and any permit layout so the trailer fits on the first try.
  3. We deliver and set up. Our driver levels the unit, sets the steps and handrails, plugs in power, tests the water and stocks the supplies.
  4. We service and pick up. Long rentals get pumping and restocking on a schedule, events can add an attendant, and we haul the trailer away when you are done.

What to have ready before delivery day

  • A level spot about the size of a parking space or two, with room for the steps to swing down
  • A clear path for our truck, with gates open and low branches trimmed back
  • An outdoor outlet on its own circuit within about 100 feet, or a note that you need a generator
  • A contact name and cell number for the person meeting our driver
  • Any permit, site plan or building rules about delivery hours

Questions at any step? Call (818) 593-0069 and a real person will answer.

Fortune 500 names on our deluxe bathroom trailer client list

The Lavatory network has delivered for Google, Tesla, Caesars Palace, BMW, Mercedes, eBay and Target, and for pro teams like the Golden State Warriors, the Oakland A’s and the Las Vegas Raiders. In Los Angeles that same service goes to studios, general contractors, schools, churches, hotels, film crews and families.

Three Los Angeles bathroom trailer stories

An office tower loses its restrooms. A property manager in the Financial District called at 6 a.m. after a sewer line failed under the lobby. We had an ADA plus 2 and a 5-station unit in the loading dock before most tenants arrived, and they stayed until the plumbers finished nine days later.

A backyard wedding in the hills. A couple in Mount Washington had a steep, narrow street and a guest list of 140. We sent a 2-station luxury unit, backed it into the neighbor’s driveway with permission, and set lights along the path so guests could walk it after dark.

A festival weekend near Chinatown. A promoter needed bathrooms for thousands of people over two days. We lined up 9-station trailers with an ADA unit at each end and pumped and restocked them every night, the same way county rules ask for multi-day events.

Los Angeles bathroom trailer rental questions

Do I need a permit to put a bathroom trailer on a street in Los Angeles?

Only if the trailer sits on public property. A private party on private land usually needs no permit. Street fairs, runs and block parties that close a street go through the StreetsLA special events office, and filming needs a FilmLA permit. We will place the unit on private property whenever we can.

How many units does a street fair with food booths need?

County rules ask for one toilet for every 15 food employees within 200 feet of each booth, plus enough public toilets for the crowd and one handwashing sink for every four toilets. Send us your vendor count and expected crowd and we will map it out.

Can a trailer go inside a warehouse or a soundstage?

Yes, if the opening and the ceiling are tall enough. Most of our units stand about 11 to 12 and a half feet tall with the AC on top, so measure the door and any beams on the way in.

What happens on a Red Flag day if my trailer is in the hills?

We keep units off posted streets and on private property, so a Red Flag Alert does not affect them. If an evacuation order reaches your area, we will work with you to move the trailer when it is safe.

How many toilets does a construction site in the city need?

Cal/OSHA asks for at least one toilet facility for every 20 workers of each sex. A 3-station or an 8-station private unit covers most mid-size jobs, and we service it on a set schedule.

Can you deliver late at night or before dawn in Downtown?

Yes. Our dispatch runs 24/7, and night or early deliveries are common Downtown, in Hollywood and on film sets, where daytime traffic and loading limits make midday drop-offs hard.

Who services the trailer during a multi-day festival or a long job?

Our team pumps the waste tank, refills fresh water and restocks supplies on a schedule we set with you, and for events we can add an attendant who stays on site.

Can I rent a bathroom trailer for a quinceanera or a house party in the Valley?

Yes. Most private parties in Encino, Northridge, Reseda and the rest of the Valley use a 2-station or 3-station unit on the driveway or the side yard. Send a photo of the spot and we will confirm it fits before we book the truck.

Do I need to be home when the trailer arrives?

Someone should be there to show our driver the spot and the power outlet, which only takes a few minutes. After that the trailer is ready to use, and pickup can happen while you are away.

Do you rent bathroom trailers outside the City of Los Angeles?

Yes. We cover all of Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, the Inland Empire and the Antelope and Santa Clarita valleys, and we can send units anywhere in the country for big or long jobs.

Nearby bathroom trailer rentals: Burbank, Culver City, Inglewood and more

Planning past the city line? We run the same fleet out of the same yard for our neighbors, so a job in Glendale bathroom trailer rentals or one up the road with luxury bathroom trailers in Pasadena gets the same crew and the same same-day dispatch. South of downtown, we cover the coast with Torrance portable bathroom trailer rentals and harbor events through our Long Beach private bathroom trailer team.

The City of Los Angeles wraps around several independent cities, and we deliver to all of them the same day. In Burbank we serve studio lots and media companies, in Culver City we serve production offices and the Arts District galleries, and in Inglewood we serve the stadium district, schools and churches. SoFi Stadium and the arena next door bring huge crowds to Inglewood, and tailgates, watch parties and vendor lots around them all need extra bathrooms. To the north, Glendale and Pasadena host weddings, parades and college events, and to the south, Torrance and Long Beach keep us busy with refinery work, port jobs and beach events.
